Miami.
Spring Break 2015.
You can be a part of a meaningful experience in a tropical mission field and you won’t even need a passport! His House Children’s Home is a 200 acre campus in Miami, FL that is a safe haven for Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) that fled their home countries, children in foster care, and kids living in high-risk home situations.
This spring, BWO has the remarkable opportunity to work directly with the Unaccompanied Alien Children at His House. Many of these kids were picked up after crossing the border from Mexico and therefore have no family and have little to no comprehension of English.
His House in partnership with the “Office of Refugee Resettlement” goal is to assist and provide each child with a safe and nurturing family environment while expediting their case with immigration. These children range in age from 4 to 17 years old and would otherwise be left to navigate this process alone.
If you are a fluent Spanish speaker, you can use your skills to impact these young hearts for eternity.
If you are a fluent Spanish Speaker, you can use your skills to impact these young hearts for eternity. Ministry possibilities could be assisting teachers in the classroom to help teach and tutor these children in the only language they are familiar with. In the evenings you may be invited to come into their homes and get to know the kids and their stories. Possibilities for fellowship include holding a bible study, helping with homework, playing sports, and going on an outing off campus.
YOU CAN POUR OUT THE LOVE OF JESUS THAT TRANSCENDS ANY LANGUAGE!
