Uganda, a country in East Africa, has endured the scourge of civil war and a deadly AIDS epidemic. Where approximately 2 million children have become parentless by these atrocities. We are going to share the heart of Christ to this lost and hurting generation. We will be reaching out to the widows and orphaned of Uganda.
The trip is all inclusive and begins at gathering points in L.A. and New York City, whichever works best for you. The Uganda mission trip is open to people ages 14 & up. You don’t have to be an experienced missionary to participate; all you need is a willing, open heart to help the people of this broken and needy nation. This is Believers World Outreach’s third year, bringing missionaries to partner with our wonderful friends in the villages of Jinja and Masaka, Uganda.
In Jinja:
We will divide our time between the Amani Baby Cottage home to approximately 70 orphans from infant to 5 years of age and Calvary Chapel of Jinja. We will show the love of Christ to this community through evangelism, construction, medical, and orphanage ministry. Calvary Chapel of Jinja has an incredible training center, school, orphanage, and prison ministry they run through their church campus. We are very privileged to partner with them in Jinja.
In Masaka:
In the village of Masaka, we partner with local pastors in the area through the ministry avenues of evangelism, vbs, construction and medical. Near Masaka at the top of the mountain lies yet another orphanage, Jireh Children’s Center, home to some 80 plus children ranging in age from 5 to 16 years. Two years ago when we visited, there was no running water, kitchen facility, or restrooms in this home. Upon returning to the U.S. the summer of ’05 BWO was able to raise $2500 to bring running water to this orphanage. This past summer we were able to raise the funds for and build a secondary school and restrooms. Next summer it is our hope to build a kitchen, more living quarters, and bring medical care so even more children may be healthy and have a place to call home.

June 8 - 23, 2007 we are going to mobilize the laborers, the evangelists, the healers to bring the hope and healing power of Jesus Christ to Uganda! Not only will the people of Uganda be touched but you will be changed by the hand of your Savior as you reach out your hand in service to the hurting!
How it works is this:
The Uganda trip is open to ages 14 and up. It’s great for young people, first time missionaries, as well as seasoned veterans. Each person who attends has the opportunity pick the area of ministry that best suits them. We realize that everyone may not feel evangelistically gifted but everyone has God-given abilities & talents!
These trips have five distinct areas of ministry: evangelism & drama, construction & work projects, basic care giving to the children, Vacation Bible School, and medical clinics (which require licensed doctors, nurses & EMT’s)
We facilitate the trip for you. All you have to do is sign up and send in your application with the app fee to get started. You will receive a mission’s manual and payment schedule shortly there after in the mail. This manual has everything you need to know to make your trip a success. We take care of all the trip logistics. If you are bringing a group just tell us if you have any special needs or wants regarding the trip and we will do our best to meet those needs. Again, if you are a pastor and interested in bringing a group we ask that you send info on who would lead or co-lead your teams. There is team leader training 1 day prior to departure that will be held at a L.A. & Miami hotel (TBA). This will help to prepare & train the team leaders & co-leaders so they know what to expect on the trip.
